I’ve been painting since 1997, drawn most to abstract expression and street art. Since 2020, I’ve been working with epoxy resin, exploring how its texture and depth can bring my ocean-inspired visions to life. The sea has always been at the center of my world—I've spent the past 32 years as a professional surf judge, traveling the globe
I’ve been painting since 1997, drawn most to abstract expression and street art. Since 2020, I’ve been working with epoxy resin, exploring how its texture and depth can bring my ocean-inspired visions to life. The sea has always been at the center of my world—I've spent the past 32 years as a professional surf judge, traveling the globe and experiencing beaches on nearly every continent. These places, their moods, their colors, and their energy, often find their way into my work.
The ocean doesn’t just inspire me—it defines me. Through movement, light, and layered materials, I try to capture the feeling of being near the water: sometimes calm and meditative, sometimes chaotic and alive. It still amazes me that people connect with my art enough to bring it into their homes. That connection is what drives me to keep creating.
I primarily work with acrylics, acrylic inks, alcohol inks, and epoxy resin, exploring the interplay of fluidity, texture, and vibrant color. These materials allow me to layer, blend, and manipulate light in dynamic ways. I create on both canvas and wood panels, selecting the surface based on the visual depth and structural integrity the piece demands.
"Mother Nature is a major influence in my everyday life, especially in my art. I also draw deep inspiration from the work of other artists."
